Lucian is an unusual sad case where his owner was deployed to Iraq, and had to give him up. His owners brother took him in, but fell on hard times and had to surrender to the local shelter. Normally Lucian would not have been a Casita Big Dog Rescue candidate, because he's so adoptable, but unfortunately there was a quarantine situation at the shelter at the time he was surrendered. Luckily CBDR Behaviorist, Rafael Cabrera happened to be at the shelter, and prevented Lucian from a likely infection and possible quarantine or worse. He's an awesome Dog and we're going to find him a new forever home!
