Ecco filters provide biological, chemical and mechanical filtration. The blue prefilter collects gross particulate efficiently to provide optimum water flow and longer intervals between cleanings. Position the tubing in your tank, attach and open the quick release valves, lower the handle till you hear it click , then immediately raise the handle till you hear it click again and the Ecco will begin to fill itself. When the fill has completed, simply plug and play.

Your Rating This new Eheim 2236 Ecco canister filter will replace my previous now broken one. When it's set up and running, nothing could be better! It is silent, powerful, convenient, and even logical. But the handle is designed to prime the pump and start the filling action. Last time I cleaned it the handle broke. One tiny little grey cylinder broke off and that was it. I can't even take it apart. That handle has ever been cranky, but. Well. I wanted another one. And ValuePetSupplies gave me a great price.
