Like humans, pets require water as a vital element for survival. The Catit Drinking Fountain responds to your pet's need for a continuous supply of fresh and clean drinking water. Re-circulating water with greater exposure to oxygen provides fresh-tasting, cool filtered water for pets with a multitude of health benefits.
Multi-surface drinking areas allow your pet to drink from the bowl or directly from the dome. The unit's greater water capacity (100 fl oz / 3 L) ensures that continuous fresh water is always available, and eliminates the need for daily refilling. Its safe, low-voltage system (12V) is energy-efficient, consuming less than 4 watts (or less power than a night light).
Suitable for multiple pets, the Catit Drinking Fountain for cats is also suitable for puppies and small dogs. The Catit Drinking Fountain for cats is easy to clean and maintain, and is ideal for any living space. Includes food dish as free bonus. Replacement Purifying Filters and matching place mat sold separately.

- Best Pet Purchase we ever Made Review by Bob's mom
We have five cats and bought this as we were going on a two week vacation. It is great. The only problem we have is the cats like to put their toys in the water dish. It is easy to use and we find the cats really like it. They seem to drink more water and very rarely drink from the toilet (that we see). They like that their water is fresh and there is room for all five to drink at once (Posted on 3/10/11)

- Catit water fountain Review by Sher
An interesting product which could be improved upon. My two cats love it. The product design looks good. Water lasts 3-4 days max before the slime sets in, however, I have to add water up to the brim everyday because it gets noisy as the water level goes down. Disappointed that the water storage globe is permanantly glued together - there seems to be a bit of slime starting to develop inside. It cannot be taken appart for thorough cleaning, and the small opening where you fill the water is not practical to add soap and rince. Also, with the slime, it is not pleasant to unlock when emptying the remainder of the water out of the globe.(lock is small spring/plastic part that you turn) I just cleaned the product and the locking device that keeps the water inside just popped apart, the other half remained inside the globe and because it cannot be opened, rendered the whole product obsolete. I have had this product about 6 months. Will not buy again. [$]is too expensive for the time it lasted.SR (Posted on 3/10/11)
- Purchasing for the Third Time Review by JosiePie
I'm purchasing this for the third time in about 4 years. You decide if this is good or bad for your needs. But I give it a 4 star rating because my gray old kitty loves it.
I replaced my second one with something less-comparable and I don't feel my old-man-kitty got the same amount of needed hydration from it.
THE GOOD: My 15 year old man cat LOVES it. His kidneys are less than 100% so he is ALWAYS dehydrated (and often constipated). He loves licking the flowing water from the dome (the best part of the product IMHO) and doesn't even touch the pool of water at the base.
It holds a good amount of water (1 week, perhaps, but I can't exactly remember since I've not had one in a while)
THE BAD: Even if the water doesn't need re-filling right away, the dome and bowl tend to get slimy. Regular cleaning with dish-soap and hot water easily get rid of the slime on the outside parts, but there are some inner parts where you might need a skinny pipe-cleaner type thingey to really scrub out the inner slime.
I've had friends come over to check on my guy while I'm on vacation and without a demonstration they have found it difficult to fill.
It "tinkles" a very little bit on the carpet where I keep it, but I'm not sure if that is my old guy being sloppy, or the fountain itself.
My big beef is the motor. Of course it tends to collect cat hair (more slime), and if you let the water run too far down it makes noise (as all fountains do). But I'm pretty conscientious (but not SUPER conscientious, mind you) about cleaning and filling the fountain yet still I'm about to purchase my third.
So, I've found no substitute for it and I feel my guy needs the hydration. My local pet store stopped selling it so I'm buying it (again) online here.
Hope this Helps! (Posted on 3/10/11)
