I have now tried this product in two flavors, beef and chicken. My Shih Tzu won't touch anything that has the beef sprinkled on it. He won't even eat soft cheese. The chicken is another story. He seems not to mind it, and after 7-10 days, I see some improvement in the dark tear stains. I guess time will tell how effective it is. (Posted on 4/10/13)

When we adopted our white chihuahua she had horrible tear stains. I'd heard of Angel Eyes and decided to try it. Within 2 weeks her stains were already clearing up. In time I lengthened the days between doses seeing if I could wean her off it without the stains returning. She lasted about 10 days between treatments. Then after a time I lengthened it even more. My shih/poo is 3 years old. I used to take him to the vet. for foul odor tearing and stains, and also clean his face 2-3 times a week. Now that I've been using angels eyes the foul smell is not there anymore, the stains have lighted over a one month period and I do not have to clean his face as often.

Angel Eyes is to help stop or at least reduce the red/brown color of junk that comes out of my malti-poo's eyes. I just started using Angel Eyes on 5/28/11 and today it is 6/19/11, so just under 1 month and I can already see an amazing difference & I hope as time goes on it will improve even more. I can tell a great difference when I don't have Angels Eyes for Xander. His tear stains get so bad, but as long as I give to him 3 times a week, he looks fantastic! I mix it with a small amount of wet food & he loves it! It DOES NOT mix with water & he will not take it like that. I buy the chicken flavor because he prefers it. I had doubts about Angel Eyes on how it would affect my dog's so I asked my Vet. He told me there were no known side effects from this product so I thought I would give it a try. One of my dog's has allergies all year long so the stains were really bad, the other one had stains but they could be washed away. within a week of using this product, their faces were noticeably whiter. Purchased to decrease tear staining for my Yorkie and my Jack Russell. It has definitely decreased staining, even though I have only used it one month. However, the biggest surprise is how it has completely cleared up my 14 year old Jack Russell's breath. Her Vet and I are extremely pleased. I am still using the product within the 1-2 wks period. My husband can already notice our maltese's eyes clearing up and looking much better. I notice too. I used to have to clean his eyes every day with a warm cloth, I haven't had to do that since Angel Eyes. It seems to get better as time goes by, like I said we are still just new to the product and haven't been using it for 2 wks yet. My dog used to find a shoe and stick his head in it to itch his eyes and clean them himself, I haven't seen him do this since our purchasing Angel Eyes either. ....because I can't get my cat to take it. From previous reviews I should of been warned but thought I'd try anyway. No matter how I tryed to hide it in food, my cat just would rather starve than eat this stuff. I did give it one star though because this was the best price I found. Angel's Eyes worked on my white poodle from the first day. As soon as he got his first haircut after starting to use it, the tear stains were gone.
