Drinkwell Stainless Steel 360 Foam Pre-Filter - 2 Pack

These are possibly the most crucial "consumable" part of the Drinkwell 360, but they are extremely difficult to find. My order was easy to complete, and arrived in a flash. First things first: The Stainless version of the Drinkwell units is a MUST if you have cats. A small but sizable portion of cats are allergic to the plastic of the non-stainless models and thus develop "kitty acne" on their chins and other more substantive problems from the plastic versions!!!!

And just as much a part of the Drinkwell STAINLESS product providing your critters a fresh, non-problematic water source is cleaning the unit every two weeks and changing both filters every month.....without fail!

The "in-uptake" tall charcoal filter can be used for an entire month and does a good job. The seemingly redundant foam pre-filter that surrounds the pump at the bottom of the water dish MUST be washed thoroughly with warm soapy water every two weeks and can be re-used multiple times. It being clean and functional however is INDESPENSIBLE to insuring that the water stay as clean, particulate and mucilage free as possible....ESPECIALLY if you have dogs that share the water dish.

The foam pre-filter won't remain functional and non-problematic for longer than six months, but it is absolutely necessary to keep the water pump in working order, the water free of pet gunk and the water your pets count on you for fresh and in top drinking condition. (Posted on 1/2/13)
