- Sturdy Stairs! by MedlarrieRating:5.0 1 5Review:My dogs weigh about 65 pounds each and these stairs don't budge or wobble at all when the dogs are on them. The safety of my dogs is my most important consideration - and I am very confident in the construction of these stairs. But as a bonus - they are nice looking, came assembled & ready to use, and arrived after only 2 days. Very happy! High quality materials and loved the cherry wood finish. Just moved and needed a few more so my doxie doesn't suffer. Still the same great product! Thanks! He seemed tentative when we set these up as a ramp, but he likes the stairs. We received these 4 days ago, and our dog is so comfortable with them now that sometimes he just sits or lies down on one of the stairs while hanging out with us.
They take up a lot of room (when set up, they extend about 39" from the bed), but the height and depth of the stairs are perfect - so it's worth it. For reference, our bed is 25" high and these steps are about 5" below the full height of our bed, so coming onto the bed itself is like taking a 4th step (each stair is 6" apart).
Definitely would recommend these, and I'm thinking about getting the 2-step version for our couch (rather than moving the 3-step version back and forth between our couch and bed). She has arthritis in her hips and has had ACL surgery. They are sturdy and yet easy to handle. Like others said, the carpet color could be a better choice, but it will do. So glad I got them. (Posted on 9/30/2015)Excellent product by C.K.Rating:5.0 1 5Review:I am very pleased with this product. It is sturdy, well made and looks good. It transitions easily from steps to ramp and vice versa. The steps are wide enough and the rise is sufficient to accommodate my large (100 lbs) dogs. The price was excellent. Slightly cumbersome to move around, but that should be expected with a well-made unit that will support large dogs. Some reviews mention pinkish carpet on the steps, but the carpet on mine is an oatmeal shade that would fit most decors. The dogs feel secure on the carpeted stairs and getting them to use it is easy. I highly recommend it. Now if I could just get my lab to use them it would be perfect!
(Posted on 12/6/2014)great value by snapptRating:4.0 1 5Review:the only thing I would change is the color of the carpet. It should be more of a neutral color instead of pink. The ramp is well made and does the trick for my dachshund who had back surgery. She hurt her back recently and I couldn't find any steps that were nicely made where I live. She recovered in about 5 days but I figured I would buy some steps just in case this happens again. She is almost 11.
I ordered these on Sunday, they shipped on Monday and arrived on Wednesday. I live in the midwest. It was packed very well and arrived in a very large box.
First, yes, the steps are a pinkish rose color. I wish they were tan but I can get past that as these steps are of great quality. I was able to get the dog to use the steps by putting treats on them. She still prefers to do the jumping but I know I have these if she hurts her back again or when arthritis hits.
I strongly recommend these steps. They are solid and uniquely designed to go between ramp and steps. They exceeded my expectations. (Posted on 9/24/2014)As promised by AnnRating:4.0 1 5Review:The stairs were shipped quickly and look great !
It is taking a bit to get my little dog to feel comfortable using them instead of jumping on the bed. But with treats she will go up and down no problem. You may wonder why stairs if she can jump? Well it seems in the middle of the night she is afraid to jump so whines by my bedside. Last night she whined by the stairs. Lol. But she will learn. (Posted on 9/24/2014)
