One of my cats is especially finicky and prefers water from a running faucet, but once I replaced the offbrand filter with the correct Drinkwell Pet Fountain filter, even my picky Gizmo started hydrating at the fountain. My cat would only drink water from the faucet tap - which was cute at first, but quickly became very annoying...until I bought this fountain, and she LOVES it. it's very quiet, easy to take care of and clean, and it has been really useful for when I go out of town for a couple of days...I don't have to worry about my cat not having fresh, clean water to drink! I love this this drinkwell pet fountain. To be exact my 4 cats love this fountain. I was always having to turn on the water faucet to a drip for cats, now I just have to check water supply in the fountain and cats are drinking more than ever and I don't have to keep water dripping in faucets.
