Just what Pete needed--crisp but soft enough for tender teeth. Lots and lots of pieces of all sizes. Very breakable if needing smaller sizes--Pete is 75 pounds so the bigger the better! I put them in a big pretzel jar and he leads me to them every night at 10pm so he can get his 'share'. This is our second large order and we are delighted to have enough for ourselves and enough to give to friends. They are portable, don't get stale, and fit nicely into boredom relieving toys for when we are away. A treat as we leave sees us happily on our way, since the dogs--and the cat--are content. I just got my Maltese in August when her former Mommy died. I have tried several trats with her but she has always preferred the moist Milkbone - and I'd prefer not to give her those! Her doctor had recommend lamb for her so I looked up lamb treats on this site. She LOVES them!!! They are one of the few "crunchy" things she will eat, so I am especially happy! This is a great price for Lamb Lung, especially if you have multiple dogs, much better price than the Baa Baa Q's. Love the free shipping, too! My dogs would take down a buffalo to get at these treats. They can be used in larger pieces or easily broken down as training treats or for small dogs. While they have an aroma irrisistible to the dogs, they do not stink up the cupboard or, when traveling, the car. Even though my husband is the weak link and tends to over-treat, these are not a high cal/high fat item. I have given them as a gift to my friend whose ill, older dog has trouble chewing hard things anymore. He eats these with no difficulty and with great relish.
